COVID-19: Anthony Joshua self-isolates after meeting Prince Charles

Anthony Joshua, British-Nigerian boxer, has gone into self-isolation after meeting with Prince Charles, who tested positive for the deadly coronavirus on Wednesday.

The world heavyweight champion had met the heir to the throne some weeks ago during a Commonwealth Day celebration service at Westminster Abbey.

The Prince of Wales was however said to have tested positive for COVID-19.

A spokesman of the royal residence was quoted as saying that the prince is in good health despite showing mild symptoms.

In a chat with Daily Mail, Joshua’s spokesperson said “AJ is at home following government guidelines, he is fit and well.

“He wishes everyone affected a speedy recovery and a huge thank you to all the front line key workers.”

The 30-year-old boxer is scheduled to defend his titles against Kubrat Pulev at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20.
