Nigeria’s Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday represented President Muhammadu Buhari at the summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Ghana.
Reports gathered hinted that the Accra meeting is part of efforts by leaders of the sub-region to resolve Mali’s political crisis.
In a statement on Tuesday, Laolu Akande, senior special assistant to Osinbajo on media and publicity, said the vice-president will also meet with representatives of the Nigerian community in Ghana over the closure of their shops by Ghanaian authorities based on regulations issued by the country.
