Nigerians design Colourful Aso-ebi for Joe Biden’s Inauguration in US

As Americans get ready for a new era under the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris administration, Nigerians living in the US have taken the January 20 inauguration very seriously as they unveiled a colourful “Aso-Ebi” for the event.

According to a tweet shared by TVC News, two Nigerian men residing in the US showed off the customised fabric that was made in celebration of Biden’s victory as the next American leader.

In the viral post, the excited men are seen hyping the fabric that has photos of the incoming president and vice president as well as “Biden & Harris Victory Party” imprinted on it.

The men stated that they are sending the fabrics to their tailors to make them a befitting outfit to be worn for the ceremony.

Recall that the United States on Thursday, January 7, finally confirmed the Electoral College victory of President-elect Biden after several hours of debate halted by some pro-Trump supporters who stormed Capitol Hill.

The eventual counting revealed that Biden and Kamala Harris have the 270-threshold required to clinch power.

Added to this, objections to drop Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania’s electoral votes for Biden were dismissed by the Senate and the House of Congress.

Meanwhile, the outgoing POTUS has ensured a smooth and orderly transition into the new presidency slated for Wednesday, January 20. He however revealed that he’ll not attend his successor, Joe Biden’s inauguration.
