Nigerian Idol 7: A Progressive Journey to Stardom with Bigi Drinks

10 weeks of refreshingly delightful music contest that recorded over 220million votes from viewers across the continent, climaxed Sunday with the announcement of 21-year-old Progress Chukwuyem as the Nigerian Idol Season 7 winner.

Bigi Drinks, Naija’s favorite range of carbonated soft drinks with thirteen variants, manufactured by Rite Foods Limited is the headline sponsor of the music reality show. The brand went on a refreshingly progressive journey with the contestants, especially with the Delta-state born singer, songwriter, performer and music minister, Progress, who beat his strongest rival, Zadok, to be crowned the Nigerian Idol.

Bigi’s sponsorship of the music show is to ensure that talents are nurtured to produce stars that would take the music and entertainment industry to enviable heights and to pave way for the discovery of music talents among young Nigerians, as well as the promotion of the entertainment industry in the country.

Among other things, Progress clinched the cash prize of N30 million, a new SUV, a Bigi branded refrigerator and a year’s supply of Bigi drinks. He will also get to record an EP and 6 music videos, a weekend getaway from TravelBeta, and a DStv Explora fully installed with a 12 months premium subscription.
