Former Barcelona defender, Dani Alves, could face up to 12 years in jail for an alleged sexual assault in a Spanish nightclub.
His trial is expected to be held between October and November.
Alves has been in custody since January 20, following allegations of sexual assault by a 23-year-old woman at a nightclub.
Alves has denied the allegations, but his requests to be released on bail have been rejected, and he remains in custody at Brians 2.
He could face up to 12 years in prison if found guilty.
The high court in Barcelona rejected the most recent appeal made by Alves to be released from remand.
According to Marca, there are concerns that Alves might flee the country if released, possibly to his home country of Brazil, which does not extradite its citizens.
