Chidimma Adetshina has emerged as the winner of the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.
The 23-year-old, who withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant after her involvement in a social media uproar about her nationality, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.
The law student came to Nigeria after accepting to participate in the competition.
Guy Murray-Bruce, President of Silverbird Group, organizers of the competition, announced Adetshina as the winner at the grand finale which held at Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos, on Saturday night.
The winner represented Taraba State in the keenly contested competition, which had a total of 25 participants.
She will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November, this year, while Miss Anambra who emerged as first runner- up will participate in the Miss Supranational pageant.
By clinching the title, Chidinma walks away with the grand prize of N10 million.
In her acceptance, the new beauty queen described the crown as a call to action.
