Soludo's Magic in Anambra Receives Accolades in 'Voices of Ndi Anambra Programme'
Governor Chukwuma Soludo

The avalanche of Governor Charles Soludo’s achievements in Anambra has received commendation from people of the state, and this time, in the show “Voices of Ndi Anambra” where Obi Ochije Modilim, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) lauded the infrastructural transformation of Awka and other parts of the state.

Anchored by ace presenter Uchechukwu Ebunam and her partner, Favour Asiro, Modilim expressed satisfaction with the incredible performance of Governor Soludo which is evident in the numerous projects undertaken by his administration.

Modilim stated that when Anambra was created in 1991, Awka, the state capital, was very much like Okpoko slum, which has been regenerated into an urban city. He said the only things in Awka then were electricity, water, and a general hospital, without any thought of its transformation to what it is presently.

“Awka did not look like a state capital, everybody was laughing, and it was the worst state capital in the country, till God sent Soludo, and he made a difference,” he said.

According to Modilim, Governor Soludo visited the various communities that make up Awka, and was shocked to see that when there is heavy rain, about two or three persons will get drowned due to the heavy flooding, and some people will relocate from the city.

Within three months of his administration, Soludo flagged off his regeneration project at Agu-Awka, he brought the contractor, and work commenced in earnest.

He constructed drainages that control the flooding in the place, and my people now sleep with their eyes closed, unlike before.

“People can move freely in Awka and its environs because of the newly constructed roads, the highly elated guest asserted.

Furthermore, Modilim thanked Governor Soludo for the facilities in the state that make living comfortable, like the Fun City. Also, the 34-year jinx was broken by Soludo with the new Government House complex, as Anambra has never had such a facility since its creation.

According to the commissioner for information, Law Mefor, Soludo’s passion for providing solutions is unprecedented in Anambra.
