Anambra State, the Light of the Nation, is set to beat to a thrilling new rhythm on Saturday, 28th June 2025, as Governor Charles Soludo will formally unveil the magnificent, sprawling Solution Fun City in Awka.

Tagged ‘Anambra Megafest,’ the grand opening of the Solution Fun City promises to be an electrifying blend of music, dance, comedy, and general entertainment, featuring performances by a stellar lineup of star musicians and comedians, all celebrating a monumental achievement for the state, where people will play, relax, and enjoy.

In light of this, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Christian Aburime, said that by Saturday, residents and visitors alike will converge on the sprawling 12.7-hectare leisure and tourism complex, a project that has been meticulously brought to life under the progressive leadership of Governor Soludo.

He said as a “world-class entertainment and relaxation centre,” the facility boasts a cinema, a waterpark with six different swimming pools, family and children’s play zones, and an arcade and country club, offering a diverse range of activities for all ages.

It is a project poised to inject new life into Anambra’s economy, for job creation, with many members already recruited and trained, another proof of the governor’s commitment to transforming Anambra from a departure lounge to a destination, the Dubai-Silicon Valley of the country, where economic and business activities thrive.

The CPS further affirmed that the facility is designed to be a game-changer, as previously, the state, despite its status as a commercial powerhouse, lacked a world-class recreational hub; residents, especially families and youths, often travel outside Anambra to access premium leisure amenities.

According to him, Governor Soludo saw this gap not as a problem, but as an opportunity, as he would always say, “Any city without a recreational centre is a dead city, ” and decided to build the Fun City.

Also, the governor is actively working to develop heritage sites like the Ogbunike Caves and Agulu Lake, and the Solution Fun City provides a modern, attractive anchor for a flourishing tourism sector in the state.
