Nigerian X-users express frustrations over new petrol price

Some Nigerians on the popular social media platform, X formerly Twitter, have aired their grievances on the injustice and lack of accountability on the part of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPCL on the newly released pump price of petrol from Dangote refinery.

Recall that the NNPC said it is the sole buyer of the petrol from Dangote refinery, a deal it claimed it had with the indigenous refinery for the supply of crude and petrol as payment for that deal. However, on releasing the new petrol price, Dangote refinery countered the NNPC in another statement saying Nigerians should disregard the release issued by the NNPC

This back and forth between both parties has caused an uproar among Nigerians on X, causing them to air their grievances and frustrations on the motive of the NNPC behind its new petrol price across the country.

A user, @dammygtnet said. I think Dangote refinery and NNPCL have a score to settle. These dramas are unnecessary if only both parties are sincere and place the citizens above their personal aggrandizement and ignoble battle of supremacy.

While a section of the people are blaming NNPC for its inconsistency and lack of transparency in the matter, others are blaming the Dangote refinery for the exorbitant prices of the product.
