After careful monitoring of the APC Special Convention and Presidential Primaries which is currently ongoing at the Eagle Square, Abuja, OnlinePikin authoritatively report that the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged the presidential candidate of the party.
He will be the flagbearer of the party in the forthcoming 2023 elections.
He won the presidential primaries defeating VP Yemi Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi, Ahmed Lawan, Dave Umahi and others.
Meanwhile, some aspirants announced their withdrawal from the race, stepping down for Bola Tinubu.
First of the presidential aspirants to announce his withdrawal from the primary to support his co-contender in the race was Senator Godswill Akpabio. Others are former governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun; Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole; Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa; Senator Ajayi Boroffice; and the only female in the contest, Uju Ken-Ohanenye.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will be contending with Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Peter Obi of Labour Party LP and other party candidates.
